NEW YORK - The daily escapades of the duo behind Warren-Tricomi salons and products may soon out-lather the Seventies film "Shampoo." Hairstylists Edward Tricomi and Joel Warren are in talks to star in a reality TV series, said staff at their eponymous Midtown salon.
On Saturday, a camera crew trailed the stylists at the 16 West 57th Street salon, hovering over clients with microphones, as they filmed what is likely the pilot episode. Unsuspecting patrons were asked to sign wavers stipulating that they agreed to appear on television, but were not told what network they might appear on.
Apparently, some people were tipped off to the news: Young socialites and models arrived in droves for Saturday's taping.
To ensure the effort is riddled with drama, reality TV star of "Blow Out" fame, Brandon Martinez, is now a member of the Warren-Tricomi styling team and will appear in the pilot. Martinez made his small-screen debut on Bravo's "Blow Out," starring Hollywood hairstylist Jonathan Antin. Martinez - described on the "Blow Out" Web site as "a heterosexual bad boy" - grabbed...
