A 40-year-old man developed Stevens Johnson syndrome (SJS)/toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN) following treatment with carbamazepine and quetiapine [routes not stated].
The man was admitted due to complaints of rashes. His history included seasonal outbursts at home and episodes of violence towards his mother. The frequency of this irritability increased and he started receiving treatment with carbamazepine 200mg tablet twice daily, quetiapine 25mg tablet HS (bedtime) and concomitant risperidone therapy.
