A federal grand jury has charged bankrupt Charlotte custom-home builder David Simonini in a multimillion-dollar scheme in which he and others are accused of bank fraud and conspiracy, among other crimes.
Simonini, 43, was indicted Tuesday following a lengthy investigation involving the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Internal Revenue Service.
