CELEBRATING MEMBER ACHIEVEMENTS
Collin Dniry, a professor In the University at Buffalo department of Industrial and systems engineering, was appointed a State University of New York Distinguished Professor. An internally known expert in human factors, human error, and quality control, Drury directs UB's Research Institute for Safety and security in Transportation. The institute studies how human factors contribute to errors and inefficiencies in security systems, such as those used in airports,, and why inspectors fail to find defects during aircraft maintenance.
