Abstract

According to [21,24], the small-scale hydropower resource potential in the region is estimated at 12,197 MW, with the eastern part of the continent showing the highest potential. According to the hydropower equation presented above, a conversion factor has been taken into consideration in order to account for the environmental flow. [...]results of this study have already been used to compare various electrification technologies in the Sub-Saharan Africa context [2,11] and feature in online platforms for sustainable development [75,76].
