A new range of highly developed, advanced machine tool spindles has been introduced by Boneham & Turner for high power, high speed machining of materials. These spindles owe their origins to a research and development project instigated by AMTRI (Advanced Manufacturing Technology Research Institute) which formed a consortium of leading industrial companies representing both users and suppliers of spindle technology and supported by the DTI.
Intended for high power machining applications over a wide speed range, the Boneham spindles implement many features contained within the original AMTRI concept spindle with careful consideration of commercial availability and reliable components. In one advanced system, these spindles combine benefits previously only available on individual spindles designed for specific applications.
