There are no plans to change the name of Libby Perszyk Kathman, but two of those names will no longer be involved in the day-to-day operations of the fast-growing brand identity and package design firm.
Mort Libby, 62, LPK's current CEO, and Ray Perszyk, 55, executive vice president, are both stepping back from daily management in a transition that will promote Jerry Kathman to CEO. Kathman, 46, is currently president.
Libby will remain chairman of LPK's board of directors and Perszyk will also retain his seat.
LPK has grown at an average of 24 percent a year for the past several years, with revenues of $25 million this year. The firm now employs close to 200 at its downtown offices and is the largest independent brand identity firm in the United States. Its clients include Procter & Gamble Co., IBM, Microsoft, Heinz Pet Foods and Valvoline.
