From topical conferences on aspect-oriented programming and software security, to platform-specific shows for Windows and Java, to vendorfocused events for specific user communities, there are many educational events and trade shows from which to choose.

The Java community's flagship event is Sun's JavaOne conference, June 27-30 in San Francisco. A smaller forum is TheServerSide Java Symposium in Las Vegas from March 3-5.
