Abstract
The first article, "Chromium and Chromium-Based Alloys: Problems and Possibilities for High-Temperature Service" by Y.F. Gu, H. Harada, and Y. Ro, presents an overview of the development of chromium-based alloys. The article highlights the mechanical properties of chromium and chromium-based alloys, with particular emphasis on the ductile-to-brittle transition temperature (DBTT), which is typically above room temperature.
