Abstract
It is instructive to indicate the present state of work on the calculation of high-temperature tensile properties using a nickel-based superalloy as an example. In this case, the authors combined the 0.2% proof stress of solid solutions as a function of temperature and strain rate, an increasing strength of [gamma]' with temperature, the creep behavior, and the equilibrium dissolution of [gamma]' above the alloy's final heat treatment of 850°C.
