Fuccillo Ford of East Greenbush will pay at least $31,000 in customer restitution and $17,500 in civil penalties under a settlement announced Jan. 8 with New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer's office.
Fuccillo Ford sold former rental vehicles to car buyers without informing them of the cars' prior histories. New York law mandates that dealers notify buyers when a car they are purchasing was used as a taxi, rental car or police vehicle, or was returned to the dealer as a "lemon."
