The Army's Sense and Destroy Armor (SADARM) howitzer munition continues to perform up to expectations in recent tests despite a problem with a fuze that ejects the submunition from its carrier, according to a top program official.
Col. Bernard Ellis, the SADARM program manager, told Defense Daily yesterday in a telephone interview that the munition has performed "super" during recent testing at Ft. Greely, Alaska. The submunitions' sensor "performed in an outstanding" manner, he added.
