(CSC), Falls Church, Va., is being awarded a ceiling amount $27.8 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite- quantity contract to provide support for the MK 41 vertical launching system. Taskings will include system safety analysis of computing systems, computer program development for maintenance, verification of validation of computer programs, fleet maintenance/in-service engineering, and systems engineering. Work will be performed in Fredericksburg, Va., and is expected to be completed by May 2004. Contract funds in the amount of $252,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Ages Group, Boca Raton, Fla., is being awarded a $10 million modification to a Tri-Service/Cost Reimbursable/Firm Fixed Price contract to provide FY99 Active Army & Reserve Funding for C-12 Life Cycle Contractor Support (LCCS). Work will be performed in Boca Raton, Fla., and is expected to be completed by September 30, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Bell Helicopter Textron (TXT)-Boeing (BA) Joint Program Office, Patuxent River, Md., is being awarded a $9.3 million cost-plus-fixed- fee contract for the display system upgrade of MV-22 aircraft. This effort will incorporate 36 multi-functional displays and 20 display electronics units. Work will be performed in Fort Worth, Texas (75%), and Ridley Park, Pa. (25%), and is expected to be completed by June 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. Syn-Tech Systems, Tallahassee, Fla., is being awarded an $8.6 million firm-fixed-price contract to provide for an Automated Data Collection/Fuels Dispensing System that includes 2,185 Type I powered systems and 386 Type II non-powered systems. The effort also includes 10 one-year renewable options for maintenance and repair. There were 38 firms solicited and eight proposals received. Expected contract completion date is to be determined by issuance of delivery orders beginning on or about May 10, 1999. Solicitation issue date was Oct. 29, 1998. San Antonio Air Logistics Center, Kelly AFB, Texas, is the contracting activity (F41608-99-D-0291).

SAFT America, Valdese, N.C., is being awarded an $8.5 million firm-fixed-price contract for 372,000 various high-performance lithium batteries for various systems. Work will be performed in Valdese, N.C., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 10, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on March 22, 1999. The U.S. Army Communications & Electronics Command, Ft. Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity (DAAB07-99-C-A258).

Lockheed Martin (LMT), Dallas, Texas, is being awarded $8.2 million, as part of a $206 million cost-plus-award-fee contract for engineering services for the Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS). Work will be performed in Dallas, Texas, and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2001. Of the total contract funds, $1,657,050 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Raytheon (RTNA/RTNB), San Diego, Calif., is being awarded an $8.1 million modification to previously awarded contract N00024-96-C- 5453 for four ship self-defense systems (SSDS) for MK 1 equipment shipsets and an option for provisioning technical documentation efforts. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif. (90%), and Portsmouth, R.I. (10%), and is expected to be completed by July 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

Raytheon (RTNA/RTNB), Bedford, Mass., is being awarded a $7.5 million modification to contract DAAH01-99-C-0028 to exercise the option for FY99 Patriot engineering services. Work will be performed in Burlington, Mass., and is expected to be completed by Jan. 31, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Sept. 21, 1998. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.
