Despite the "outstanding performance" of the Bradley Linebacker short-range air-defense (SHORAD) vehicle during the Army's recent Force XXI Advanced Warfighting Experiment, the service has reprogrammed $7.1 million from the Linebacker program to help pay the cost of the ongoing peacekeeping operation in Bosnia, service officials said yesterday.
The Army had hoped to purchase 60 Bradley Linebackers in FY '97, but the reprogramming leaves the service with only $55 million to execute the program this year.
