The view: Wendel's office on the 14th floor of One Kansas City Place gives him a prime view of what will be the new home of H&R Block Inc., the Kansas City Live entertainment district, the Sprint Center arena location and, on a good day, the preparation work for the new Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City headquarters.
Clyde Wendel said he's been in the office since 1999. At that time, the city's attention was focused on AMC Entertainment Inc- founder Stan Durwood's dream of a Power & Light District on the south side of Downtown.
