Ethnomathematics: Link between Traditions and Modernity is the first of D'Ambrosio's books to be published in English. This short book is a kind of manifesto. In it, D'Ambrosio outlines his thoughts on mathematics, ethnomathematics, mathematics education, cognition, culture, globalization, and world peace. The book is a panoply of ideas fueled by D'Ambrosio's passion for justice, inclusiveness, and the power of mathematics to achieve both.
D'Ambrosio has a unique definition of the term "ethnomathematics"...
