Here are some dos and don'ts for returning to your civilian
First, become very familiar with the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Act (USERRA). This is the law that provides employment and reemployment rights and protection for those having served in the uniformed services. You can find a copy of it on the Well-Being intranet site and on AKO, https://usarcintra/dcsper/Well-Being/Well-Being_Office_page.htm.
Next, establish contact with your civilian supervisor as soon as you find out that you're returning home. Perhaps an e-mail or ask your significant other to send word if you're not able to yourself.
