In the broad galaxy of the service sector, there have been two additions to most business owners' rolodexes - the Internet service provider (ISP) and the Web site designer. In some cases, it's the same person or company, but many businesses now have one of each.
And since these are relatively new concerns for most companies and the relationships being formed with service providers are still in their infancy, BusinessWest decided this month to gauge how well businesses are being served by these industries.
In many cases, performance has been difficult to quantify or qualify because the service providers haven't been on the job for very long, or because many business owners lack ways to measure how satisfied they should be with their service.
