Version 7 of this popular library provides real added value, including advanced CORBA support
If you are a C or C + + programmer, you've probably used a tool from Rogue Wave Software. The company's C and C ++ libraries are widely respected and have been used for almost a decade. Unlike many library manufacturers, Rogue Wave hasn't rushed to release new versions of its tools every year just to cash in on upgrade fees. Instead, each update has been carefully thought out and well executed, and has added considerable functionality. The latest release of Tools.h + + Professional keeps the same trend with a number of important extras that C + + programmers will find useful. If you've never worked with Rogue Wave's toolkits before, this is a superb place to start.
Tools.h + + is a library of more than 130 low-level classes specifically designed to remove a lot of the fuss and bother C + + can throw your way. The toolset is constructed so that programmers without extensive C + + experience can simplify their programming tasks, treating Tools.h + + as a simple programming interface. Experienced programmers can use more features of the library, which extends their applications in ways that would take considerable time to implement from scratch. In other words, whatever your C + + skills, Tools.h ++ has something for you. The Tools.h + + Professional package adds two Java/C++ interoperability tools, a networking library, and several CORBA tools, each of which we'll look at shortly.

Upgrades from previous releases of Tools.h + + might require special treatment prior to installation, depending on the version.
Installing Tools.h++ Professional software is a simple matter: mount the CD-ROM and run an installation script. The rest of the procedure is prompted and can be finished in about five minutes. The Tools.h + + Professional suite comes with the Software Parts Manager, which handles installing and building the library parts, simplifying what used to be...
