Abstract

Palabras-clave: e-commerce; comercio electrónico, empresas; mercado; marketing; crecimiento empresarial Abstract: Technology has become a strategic ally for companies by entering new purchasing channels in the market, Colombians are changing their purchasing habits; such situation has directed the actions of companies towards new business models in digital environments through electronic commerce (e-commerce) finding new opportunities for business growth. The article shows how, although e-commerce has made significant progress in the business sector today, there is still fear surrounding this channel and, therefore, there is a lack of momentum in its development Keywords: e-commerce; electronic commerce, companies; market; marketing; business growth 1.Introducción En Colombia, el comercio electrónico o e-commerce se posiciona como un factor estratégico clave en las empresas y la economía del país (Asobancaria, 2019). Sin embargo, es necesario tener un mayor dinamismo y asumir nuevos retos para lograr una mayor consolidación por este canal digital en las empresas del país (CCCE, 2019; Asobancaria, 2019). Para la Secretaría de Industria y Comercio - SIC (2019) hace referencia a "la realización de actos, negocios u operaciones mercantiles concertados a través del intercambio de mensajes de datos telemáticamente cursados entre proveedores y los consumidores para la comercialización de productos y servicios" (Ley 1480 de 2011, art. 49).
