ANÁLISE DOS ANGOLANISMOS NO DICIONÁRIO DA LÍNGUA PORTUGUESA CONTEMPORÂNEA

Abstract

Este trabalho apresenta uma análise dos angolanismos do Dicionário da Língua Portuguesa Contemporânea (DLPC)*. O termo «angolanismo» compreende todas as unidades lexicais, em uso no português, provenientes das línguas bantu. Os angolanismos foram recolhidos mediante uma técnica de pesquisa reversa, com recurso às etiquetas <umbundu>, <quicongo> e <kimbundu> para a extração das unidades de cada uma das línguas referenciadas, para além da etiqueta <Angol>, para as unidades cuja origem não foi identificada pelos autores do DLPC, mas que são usuais no léxico do português falado em Angola. A extração dos angolanismos mediante estas etiquetas permitiu agrupá-los por origem e analisar a língua mais representativa, a disposição nos verbetes e eventuais conotações no uso dos mesmos. * A versão digital original do DLPC não está disponível publicamente. Está a ser preparada uma nova edição digital do DLPC, coordenada por Ana Salgado, da ACL, com a participação de Alberto Simões, do IPCA, José João Almeida e de Álvaro Iriarte (como consultor), ambos da Universidade do Minho.

In this paper, we present an analysis of the Angolanisms in the Contemporary Dictionary of Portuguese Language (DLPC)*. The term "Angolanism" comprises all lexical units, in use in Portuguese, and belonging to the Bantu languages. We have applied a reverse search technique in order to collect the Angolanisms with the following tags: <umbundu>, <quicongo> and <kimbundu> for the extraction of the units of each of the referenced languages. The tag <Angol> was used to identify the lexical units whose origin was not identified by the authors of the CDPL, but which are usual in the lexicon of Portuguese spoken in Angola. The extraction of angolanisms by means of these labels made it possible to group them by origin and analyze the most representative language, the provision of the entries and the possible connotations in their use. * The original digital version of the DLPC is not publicly available. A new digital edition of DLPC is under construction, coordinated by Ana Salgado from ACL, counting on the participation of Alberto Simões from IPCA, José João Almeida, and the consultancy of Álvaro Iriarte Sanromán, both from University of Minho.
