El Children's Depression Inventory, (CDI, Kovacs, 1992). Su aplicación en población española

Abstract

En este trabajo se presentan los resultados de la investigación en la que se ha aplicado la adaptación española del CDI a una muestra compuesta por 1.880 niños españoles escolarizados y de edades comprendidas entre siete y diecisiete años. La distribución de la clase social, evaluada a través del índice de Hollingshead (1957) es normal. Examinadas las propiedades psicométricas de esta adaptación española se comprueba la adecuación de su consistencia interna, fiabilidad test-retest y su validez concurrente y convergente. El análisis factorial muestra una proximidad con la estructura factorial hallada por Kovacs (1992) y los resultados son coincidentes con los obtenidos por otros investigadores en este tema. La red nomológica del constructo depresión (ansiedad, autoestima, y estructura de personalidad) ha resultado ser perfectamente coherente

In this work we report on the results of a study in which a Spanish version of the CDI was applied to 1,880 urban Spanish boys and girls. Age range varies from 7 to 17 years old. The distribution of Social Class, obtained by the Hollingshead Index (1957) is normal. Having examined the psychometric properties of this Spanish revision of the CDI results show the adequacy of its internal consistency, test retest fiability as well as its concurrent and convergent validity. The factorial analysis throws results close to the factorial structure found by Kovacs (1992) and results coincide with those obtained by others rese-archers on this topic. The depression construct nomologic web (anxiety, self-estem and structure of the personality) is perfectly coherent
