Abstract

Abstract: This article pursues the idea consigned in the literature that school dropout is constructed from within the school, considered as a physical and symbolic space. [...]the representations related to school failure present in the dynamics, judgments, prejudices and practices of 72 teachers and directors of an educational system were analyzed. The methodology used corresponds to the qualitative-interpretative approach, combining strategies for the analysis of social representations and narratives. Keywords: School dropout; atavistic imaginary; atavistic logics; social representations; narrative analysis. 1.
