Роль и место Индии в системе внешнеполитических координат Великобритании в 1997-2016 гг

Abstract

В диссертации представлен комплексный анализ британско-индийских отношений на современном этапе (1997-2016 гг.). Вопрос анализируется с точки зрения эволюции политики Великобритании, поскольку от Лондона в большей степени, чем со стороны Дели, исходит импульс к углублению взаимодействия вплоть до установления с Индией особых отношений, подобных отношениями между Великобританией и США. В работе рассмотрены все аспекты британско-индийских связей, включая торгово-экономическое, военно-техническое сотрудничество, связи в культурной и гуманитарной сферах, в области образования, в вопросах помощи и развития, проанализированы подходы двух стран к взаимодействию в рамках Содружества, выявлено влияние современных интерпретаций общего исторического наследия на диалог Лондона и Дели в условиях XXI в. Автор приходит к выводу, что именно в британско-индийских отношениях на современном этапе отражаются тенденции, связанные с формированием многополярного мира, где традиционные центры силы вынужденно уступают свои позиции новым игрокам.

In this dissertation, the author undertakes a comprehensive analysis of contemporary relations between Great Britain and India. The subject is examined from the perspective of evolving foreign policy of the United Kingdom, which is due to the fact that between 1997-2016 London has been to a greater extent than New Delhi providing the impetus for deepening of this relationship: ultimately Britain aimed at establishing special relations with India similar to those it has with the USA. The dissertation looks at all aspects of British-Indian ties, including trade, investment, defence and security cooperation, cultural, humanitarian, educational links, issues of aid and development; analyses the countries’ approach to the Commonwealth. The study identifies how modern perceptions of common historical legacy influence the relations between the two countries in the XXI century. The author comes to conclusion that British-Indian relations reflect the trends related to formation of a multipolar world order, where old centres of power give way to the new players.
