Abstract

V članku je obravnavan nastanek besedotvornega vzorca tipa vino → vinar → vinarstvo oz. strojiti → strojar → strojarstvo, tj. nastanek samostalnikov z zloženo pripono ‑ar-stvo v slovenščini. Prikazan je izvor, tj. prvotna oblika in prvotni besedotvorni pomen praslovanskih samostalnikov na *‑ar-ьstvo. Pojasnjeno je povečanje njihove produktivnosti v slovenščini (kot tudi v nekaterih drugih t. i. srednjeevropskih slovanskih jezikih), in sicer v kontekstu konvergentnega jezikovnega spreminjanja znotraj srednjeevropskega jezikovnega areala.

Alternate abstract:

The article discusses the origin of the word-formational pattern of the type vino 'wine' → vinar 'wine producer' → vinarstvo 'wine production, wine trade' or strojiti 'to tan' → strojar 'tanner' → strojarstvo 'tanning', tackling the problem of the derivational history behind nouns with the suffix sequence ‑ar-stvo in Slovenian. After discussing the origin – i.e., the original form and meaning of Proto-Slavic nouns in *-ar-ьstvo – the article focuses on the increase in productivity of such derivatives in Slovenian (as well as in some other so-called Central European Slavic languages) in the context of convergent linguistic changes within the Central European linguistic area.
