Abstract

AMAÇ

Re-Mission video oyununun kanserli adölesanların yaşam kalitesine etkisini belirlemek.

GEREÇ VE YÖNTEM

Veriler, Aralık 2009-Mayıs 2011 tarihleri arasında İstanbul ilindeki iki büyük hastanenin çocuk hematoloji-onkoloji servisinde tedavi gören, 13-18 yaşlarındaki 61 adölesandan elde edildi. Adölesanlar, hasta (n=31) ve kontrol (n=30) grubuna ayrıldı. Veriler, hasta bilgi formu, “FACT-G Yaşam Kalitesi Ölçeği” ve “Re-Mission Video Oyunu Değerlendirme Skalası” kullanılarak elde edildi. Veriler bilgisayar ortamında uygun istatistiksel analizlerle değerlendirildi.

BULGULAR

Hasta-kontrol gruplarının yaşam kalitesi puan ortalamaları arasında; ilk ölçümde anlamlı fark olmadığı (p=0.539), ikinci ve üçüncü ölçümlerde, hasta grubu adölesanların yaşam kalitesi puan ortalamaları (ikinci ölçüm=71.58±12.13, üçüncü ölçüm= 86.61±13.24) ileri düzeyde anlamlı olarak daha yüksek olduğu saptandı.

SONUÇ

Re-Mission video oyunu adölesanların yaşam kalitesi düzeyini olumlu yönde etkilemektedir.

Adolescents were divided into patient (n=31) and control (n=30) groups. Data were obtained using the patient information form, “FACT-G Quality of Life Scale” and “Re-Mission Video Game Rating Scale”. The data were evaluated with appropriate statistical analyzes in computer environment.

RESULTS

Among the mean quality of life scores of the patient-control groups; It was determined that there was no significant difference in the first measurement (p=0.539), and the mean quality of life score of the adolescents in the patient group (second measurement=71.58±12.13, third measurement=86.61±13.24) was significantly higher in the second and third measurements.
