Este trabajo sea plantea la creación de un poemario inscrito dentro de una tradición horizontal, donde el desdoblamiento del “yo poético” se utiliza como un recurso creativo que sirve para realizar un homenaje a los poetas norteamericanos Donald Hall y Jane Kenyon. Los poemas de El último invierno en Eagle Pond están construidos e inspirados en el libro predecesor: Without. Por lo tanto, es un libro que está escrito sobre los cimientos de otra tradición, otro poemario y otro poeta. La pregunta que se propone responder es: ¿Por qué un poeta latinoamericano, que escribe en español, debería escribir un libro como El último Invierno en Eagle Pond?
