Scope:
The government of Uttar Pradesh will spend Rs 40 billion on land acquisition for the Noida International Greenfield Airport project near Jewar. The State Civil Aviation Department will spend Rs 1,500 crore while the Noida Development Authority will extend a matching amount. The Greater Noida Authority and the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) will be infusing another Rs five billion each. For Phase-I of the project, around 1,441 ha of land has been identified. The airport is expected to start operation in 2022-23. Noida International Airport at Jewar, Uttar Pradesh is being developed by Flughafen Zrich AG (Zurich Airport) south of Greater Noida with a 4 phase master plan to handle 60 million passengers per annum in the future.
