Abstract

The possibility of methanogenesis of microalgae Chlorella vulgaris biomass under the action of natural and artificially created anaerobic consortia in the presence of sulfur-containing xenobiotic benzotiophensulfone demonstrated. It has been shown that, despite a slight decrease in the concentration of intracellular ATP in the used biocatalysts, the process of methanogenesis proceeded quite effectively. It has been established that the components of hydrolyzate of microalgae Chlorella vulgaris biomass, remaining after the extraction of lipids, are excellent substrate for the production of biogas.
