A facile and effective one pot organic synthesis of benzylidene amino-ethanethiols from the condensation reaction between 2-aminoethanethiol and aromatic aldehydes by the catalytic action of 1, 8-diazabicyclo [5.4.0] undec-7-ene (DBU) at mild reaction conditions.
