Abstract

Nowadays, the advent of technology has accelerated rapidly; this is going parallel with the increasing of our demands. New technologies have been invented in order to make our life easier. Therefore, this dissertation deals with one of these technologies, which is the Distance Learning (DL). It provides more facilities to the clients in the societies where the people are living in unstable areas, such as Palestine, South Africa, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, and so on.

Distance Learning provides good environment for all the users where a portal site is used to manage the available data solve. The Electronic Government Methodologies & Models (EGM) is used for the system design services for all the users especially for students in the field of educational process. In addition, the advantage and characteristics of the concept of DL have been used to design and implementation services for this system and blending its concept with EGM for production the system. This dissertation proposes a portal site with a Distance Learning Architecture (DLA) based on EGM. An integrated portal site will be analyzed in their functions. However, the program “portal site” is designed and it is implemented as a case study in Palestine. Finally, the portal site has been developed using PHP & MySQLi.
