The reporters and anchors at WEVV-44 were hard at work on a broadcast no one will ever see.After 14 years without doing the news, the station is launching a fresh news operation with a young team of reporters on Aug. 3.Until then, though, theyre honing their newscast and working the kinks out of brand-new equipment.At their studios in Downtown Evansville on Carpenter Street the former home of WTVW the news team is holding dry runs of newscasts. They run through the big stories of the day, and treat each broadcast like it will be sent across the Tri-State and not just within the walls of the building on Carpenter Street.At the evening anchors desk are Chris Cerenelli and Amanda Decker.Cerenelli, a Youngstown, Ohio, native and once-hopeful Nashville musician, is ready to bring the news to Tri-State residents daily.
