Abstract
Artikel ini mengkaji secara empirik pengaruh kewangan (kewangan dalaman dan luaran) dan kebebasan ekonomi terhadap pertumbuhan firma patuh syariah yang tersenarai di Bursa Malaysia dari tahun 2000-2010. Kaedah regresi data panel statik, iaitu model kesan tetap (fixed effect) dan kesan rawak (random effect) telah digunakan untuk menganggar penentu pertumbuhan firma tersebut. Sampel firma patuh syariah telah dipecahkan kepada enam sub sektor ekonomi, iaitu barang pengguna, barang industri, perkhidmatan, sektor pembinaan, hartanah dan teknologi. Hasil kajian mendapati pertumbuhan firma patuh syariah mengikut subsektor ekonomi sangat sensitif dipengaruhi sumber kewangan dalaman berbanding dengan kewangan luaran. Kebebasan ekonomi pula mempunyai pengaruh yang negatif terhadap pertumbuhan firma. Hasil kajian ini menunjukkan firma patuh syariah perlu mengambil kira aspek sumber kewangan dan kebebasan ekonomi untuk menjana pertumbuhan.
