McDowell began his creative profession by first studying art at the University of Nevada, Reno, and has since stretched his creative muscle throughout the community in more ways than one. From running a DJ company with his wife to owning his own sign and mural company and being the store artist at both Whole Foods Market and Trader Joe's, McDowell's love of art and visual expression is seriously unmatched. He was voted RN&R Best Visual Artist of Northern Nevada in 2019.
McDowell will collaborate with other artists and creatives in the agency realm while learning new creative mediums and visual forms of expression.
"Matt's imaginative thinking and creative body of work as a freelance artist will be an energetic force at KPS3," said Jenna Hubert, creative director. "I am excited to have Matt aboard elevating and refining the creative work we do for our clients."

October 13: Nevada Business Journal: The Smith Center and the Rogers Foundation Open Nominations For Seventh-Annual Heart of Education Awards
In an ongoing effort to promote recruitment and retention of exceptional public school teachers, The Smith Center for the Performing Arts and The Rogers Foundation announced today that nominations are now open for the 7th-annual Heart of Education Awards, honoring outstanding educators in Clark County School District (CCSD). Community members are encouraged to nominate teachers through Jan. 14, 2022.
Anyone can nominate a CCSD teacher who goes above and beyond at TheHeartofEducation.org.
Hundreds of award finalists will be recognized in the spring of 2022, with details to be announced at a later date.
The top 20 teachers will each receive a $5,000 cash award, plus a $1,000 donation to the school program of their choice.
