NOTICE TEXT : This is a combined synopsis solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested in response to the following statement of work and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for proposal, RFP-10-99-HHS-OS. This solicitation document and its incorporated provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular #97-11. This is a small business set-aside which will result in the award of a firm fixed price type contract. The SIC code for this acquisition is 3599, size standard is 500 or less employees. The period of performance shall be one year with four option years. TITLE: Maintenance services for the entry and exit vehicle barriers for the Hubert H. Humphrey (HHH) Building ceremonial driveway, parking garage ramps, and dock ramps. DESCRIPTION: Contractor to provide maintenance service to vehicle barriers used to restrict vehicle traffic from the perimeter of the HHH Building. The barriers have been installed in order to implement recommendations of the Humphrey Building Security Committee to improve the physical security of the HHH Building perimeter and improve traffic control and flow at the HHH ceremonial driveway, parking garage ramps, and loading dock area. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: Contractor to maintain vehicle barriers installed at the HHH Building ceremonial driveway, parking garage entry and exit ramps, and dock entry and exit ramps. The major equipment included in this contract are: Five hydraulic pumping units (Fabricated by: ARMR), Two wedge barriers (Brand Name: Tru- Barrier), Eleven bollards (Fabricated by: ARMR), One plate barrier (Brand Name: Nasatka). Not less than monthly, contractor to visually inspect all electrical, hydraulic, and structural components. Repair and replace as required. Contractor to visually check hydraulic oil for proper level and condition and add or change as required....
