This year, CCBN is hosting a novel and very forward-thinking series of talks called "Space Talks." May you tell us more about it, Robin?
The CCBN Space Talks was a six-month virtual expedition that explored breaking barriers in space discovery for the next generation via a series of action-oriented and solution-based conversations that culminated in the upcoming launch of the CCBN Space Expo. The Expo is a five-day virtual assembly focusing on physical and applied sciences for preschool through high school aged youth in the state of Colorado. The CCBN Space Expo starts September 27 and ends on October 1st - ironically the 63rd anniversary of NASA's opening. It's ironic because even though nursing is the most trusted profession in the world and nurses care for the total person from the beginning to the end, delivering newborn babies to even pronouncing the time of death, nurses ARE NOT allowed into space. This is so because NASA does not consider Nursing to be a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) profession. In reality, nursing is not only a STEM profession, but it is...
