A San Francisco real estate tycoon has purchased the Silver City Casino and the adjacent Las Vegas Plaza shopping center for more than $30 million.
Luke Brugnara, the 32-year-old owner of Brugnara Properties, announced Tuesday that he purchased the eight-acre property on Las Vegas Boulevard at Convention Center Drive from United Hotel and Casino, a Los Angeles limited partnership.
United paid almost $30 million for the property three years ago.
Brugnara said he plans to invest "tens of millions of dollars" in upgrading the 32,000-square-foot casino and the 40,000-square-foot retail area...
