The Arts Festival of Atlanta has unveiled a special summer festival that will scatter performances and exhibitions from Little Five Points to the banks of the Chattahoochee River.
"We wanted to take advantage of the attention that Atlanta is going to get during the Olympics and make an artistic statement about the innovative programming the festival was doing," executive director Pat Gann says.
Planned to overlap the Black Arts and Paralympic festivals as well as the Olympics, the multidisciplinary program will segue into the regular fall fest in Piedmont Park.
