Hindus urge tolerance of differences

What sets America apart from other nations is that its citizens don't all look alike -- some have darker skin than others or wear different clothes and head coverings.
It's that difference that has led some Americans to be targeted for harassment simply because Muslim extremists likely were at the controls of hijacked planes that slammed into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and in western Pennsylvania.
Some natives of India as well as people of Indian descent have been harassed in the United States because they were wearing turbans or resembled Muslims, said Bobby Dhir, a member of the Hindu Temple of Wisconsin board of directors.
