Wingspread participants can spread out and relax
Guest House designed to inspire those attending public interest forums

Wind Point -- The Prairie-style building, gently placed along a pond and a natural prairie, appears as though it has been part of the landscape at the Johnson Foundation's Wingspread Conference Center for years.
The two-story, nearly 40,000-square- foot Guest House is new, but its look reflects the realization of a 40-some-year-old dream.
The Guest House was built to serve as a home for people while they attend Wingspread conferences. It will first be used for overnight guests starting Thursday when Wingspread hosts the "Race and Civil Society" conference, which will address the ways in which civic life can be enriched within minority communities. An invitation-only grand opening for the Guest House will be held June 20.
Johnson Foundation-sponsored Wingspread conferences are designed to be intensive sessions, with participants debating a wide spectrum of public interest issues.
