Análisis bibliométrico de la revista Estudios demográficos y urbanos de el colegio de México

Abstract

El objetivo general de esta investigación es realizar un análisis del comportamiento bibliométrico de la producción científica de la revista Estudios Demográficos y Urbanos. Dicho análisis se basa en los objetivos específicos siguientes:

• Conocer la tendencia de la autoría de los artículos y los temas más importantes de la revista durante los años de 1995 a 2005.
• Identificar el grado de visibilidad que la revista Estudios Demográficos y Urbanos tiene a nivel nacional e internacional.
• Analizar el comportamiento de la productividad científica generada en la revista, mediante la aplicación del modelo matemático de Lotka.
• Identificar la obsolescencia o envejecimiento de la revista, mediante el empleo de los indicadores Vida media e Índice de Price.
• Aportar elementos teóricos y metodológicos que permitan dar continuidad a estudios posteriores de esta naturaleza, así como otras investigaciones en diferentes áreas temáticas.

Con el cumplimiento de estos objetivos y con la metodología por emplear se pretende que este trabajo permita obtener resultados específicos sobre el tema en cuestión, ya que en la literatura disponible de El Colegio de México no hay antecedentes de este tipo de estudios, que no sólo examinen el comportamiento de la producción científica de sus Centros de Investigación, sino que también proporcionen datos sobre su impacto a nivel internacional.

The general objective of this research is to carry out an analysis of the bibliometric behavior of the scientific production of the journal Estudios Demográficos y Urbanos. This analysis is based on the following specific objectives:
