WYNF is officially off its rocker - or so it seems.
At 10 a.m. Monday, 95-YNF (94.9 FM) entered a new age in Tampa Bay radio - talk programing on FM, at least through the end of this week.
Under a new lease management agreement with CBS Inc., Cox Broadcasting took the hard rocker to a new direction by simulcasting its WSUN-AM talk programing on WYNF.
The agreement is a temporary measure of control until a deal becomes official between Cox and CBS to swap radio stations in Tampa Bay and Houston.
Negative response was "underwhelming," said Todd Leiser, now the general manager of three bay area radio stations: WYNF, WSUN-AM 620 and easy-listening WWRM-FM 107.3....
