If you're having a mid-life crisis and don't have the money for a sports car or the energy for an affair, consider a notebook computer.
It's a lot safer than fooling with either the car or Cupid, costs less and may even be vaguely justifiable.
Just vaguely. The best of the notebooks are anything but cheap, and trying to justify the cost is like saying you need a red convertible with four on the floor because the manual transmission will save on gas.
So come right out and admit it: The notebook is a nifty gadget that will impress your friends with just how far and fast PC technology has come.
