Abstract
The objective of this paper is to engage with the question of how the standard of due diligence and the obligation of international cooperation can be so adapted to ensure food justice in the context of land grabbing through the prism of the right to food. The reality behind the issues inhibiting the full realization of the right to food, particularly in developing countries, is one that reveals, among other things, the systemic problems of land grabbing and the production of biofuels at the cost of food for domestic consumption. This article seeks to highlight these issues and explore how the standard of due diligence and the obligation of international cooperation can be deployed in addressing these issues.
