Denise Hice fantasizes about someday writing a book titled "Sleeping with Frank Lloyd Wright."
It's not as lascivious as it sounds.
Hice, who is president of Frank Lloyd Wright Wisconsin ( www.wrightinwisconsin.org), a non-profit group that works to preserve the great architect's legacy in his home state, has in mind a guide to Wright-designed buildings that have been turned into short-term rental properties and bed and breakfasts.
Right now it would be a pretty short book. Nationwide, only a few Wright buildings are available for overnight rental, and two of them are in Wisconsin. There might be a third in a few years: Hice's group is thinking about the possibility of developing a B&B in a 1916 Wright bungalow it has bought and plans to restore on W. Burnham St.
For now, if you want to spend a night in a Wright, here are the choices in Wisconsin:
