TELEKOM Malaysia Berhad has allocated RM600 million for the setting up of the Multimedia University (MMU), the nation's first university dedicated to multimedia and information technology (IT).
Of the total amount, RM350 million has been allocated for the planning, designing and construction of the university, while the remaining RM250 million is for facilities such as air-conditioning and IT equipment for classrooms and engineering workshops.
The MMU will be located on a 200-acre plot of land in Cyberjaya and Telekom Malaysia has awarded the contract to build the campus to MEPS Joint Venture - a consortium comprising Emkay Holdings Sdn Bhd, Projass Engineering Bhd, Eastbourne Corporation Bhd and Shorefield Holdings...
