RENAULT'S Fernando Alonso was the first driver to check in at Sepang yesterday, and the 21-year-old chose to acclimatise to the Malaysian heat by jogging around the 5.543 kilometre circuit, ironically at 2.0pm - same time when the actual race is scheduled on Sunday.
"I like the heat and it's perfectly okay for me," said Alonso as he walked through the pits while the Renault F1 Team crew were seen dismantling and putting together tonnes of equipment.
