Mexico City - For Mexican writer Sandra Frid, author of "Los demonios de mi cuerpo", the new novel about the poetess Pita Amor, living in a more poetic way can be an alternative in times of despair, pandemics and wars.
"Human beings will always be fighting among ourselves, but I propose to live in a more poetic way, closer to beauty," said the novelist this Saturday in an interview with Efe.
Frid is the author of several books about rebellious women, such as the nun Edith Stein, the dancer Nellie Campobello and the painter Nahui Olin. These days she is presenting the work in which she recreated the story of Pita Amor, one of Mexico's cultural personalities of the 20th century.
It was not easy to write this book. At first I was afraid that it would be similar to Nahui's book, published more than two years ago, because both artists lived the Mexican cultural environment at the same time and met the same people. They are similar and different at the same time; I played with that," she explained.
