Abstract

GARDNER - Mayor Charles J. Manca said yesterday he has decided against asking the City Council to appropriate $100,000 to upgrade the City Hall computer system.

Other requests before the council include: $42,000 for two used trucks for the Highway Department; $16,390 for repairs to city playgrounds; $17,000 to hire forestry workers for the Municipal Grounds Department; $760 to resume the DPW weekend telephone answering service; and $800 to buy street signs.
