ANOTHER day of joy greeted Malaysians at the Velodrome Rakyat when Masleeza Nordin and M. Kumaresan bagged a gold and bronze medal respectively in the World Cycling Championships B yesterday.
Masleeza grabbed her second medal and Malaysia's fourth gold after winning the 3km individual time trial in 4:2.425, ahead Chang Shu Yin of Taiwan and Indonesian Nuraini.
She won the 25.3km individual pursuit silver on Sunday.
Kumaresan gained some pride by winning the bronze in the men's 40km point race.
The win was also more meaningful as he beat Indonesian Henki Setiawan, who edged him to the silver medal in the 30km point race in Jakarta.
Malaysia's other entry, Mohamed Mahazir Hamad finished 14th.
Sergey Tnetyakov of Kazakhstan and Kyrghyzstan's Evgeniy Vakker emerged tops in the 160 laps race.
